Emil has a diploma from the College of Antiquarians of Ghent, where he has in fact been teaching in the
silver department since 2003. He enjoys sharing his experience with lovers of fine silver and never hesitates
to help a customer to find information and details about some silversmithing item he is shown, even if not with
the intention of selling it to him.
Nor do Emil and Caroline hesitate to acquire silver in Art Nouveau or Art Deco style, as long as it is of impeccable
quality, even if it does not bear a prestigious hallmark. Yet their invariable rule when buying is LOVE AT FIRST
SIGHT! They buy for love (just as true collectors do), even if the piece they have bought is intended for sale.
They enjoy telling their customers which works make their hearts skip a beat.
Emil is an expert within the ARGVS group regarding both old and modern silver. You will also run into him
"under his tent" at the antiques market on the Sablon in Brussels where he keeps a stall at weekends.
While their shop in Ghent is open during the week, it is closed at weekends, but they will open it by
appointment if you care to telephone them in advance.
